Practice Philosophy:
As a family physician and geriatrician I believe Family Medicine offers patients and families a medical home to bring their medical problems and health concerns to plan an efficient path to wellness and coping with chronic disease. Mind body and spritis are my concern and often I can only help a patient when they work on all diminsions of their health as the presciption needed is most often not a pill or medication but a lifestyle change or change of attitude by the patient.
Clinical Interests:
Geriatric consultation services for outpatients at Kistler GMG; expertise in quality improvement, ethics and nursing home services.
Special interests in older families/geriatrics, woman's health especially health strategies for the mature woman, behavioral medicine and cancer care. Supports ethical treatment of the terminally ill and serves as family discussant for ethical dillemmas.,
