JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for achieving maximum profitability and market penetration by effectively licensing de-identified data extracts to the pharmaceutical research, biotechnology, and health research industries. Responsible for the effective establishment, growth, and maintenance of key accounts. Enhances MedMining’s position and reputation by properly servicing and corresponding with all accounts in a professional, dependable and timely manner. Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of MedMining in its efforts to provide high quality information services to its biopharmaceutical and medical device customers. Reports to the CEO, MedMining. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 4 Demonstrates proven sales ability to high-level corporate contacts within the research groups of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or health research organizations. 4 Demonstrates successful green-field sales experience. 4 Demonstrates superior judgment, an entrepreneurial attitude, leadership ability, and the ability to team at all levels. 4 Results oriented with preference for working in an “eat what you kill” sales environment with a generous commission structure. 4 Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for customers. 4 Ability to comprehend and contribute to the development of sales and market strategies. 4 Excellent written and oral communication skills. 4 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree required (or Associate’s Degree or high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years of sales experience). Ten years experience in business, five of which involving selling into the pharmaceutical research and/or health analytics industries. Alternatively, experience as a brand manager or senior market researcher for a pharmaceutical brand team. Track record of success in “eat what you kill” sales environment Demonstrated successful proven track-record of account management experience, including relationship building and maintenance. Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales targets with ability to function at senior levels within customer companies. Experience negotiating and closing contracts. Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process is preferred.
