
West Pittston native, Anthony Bruno II, MD returns to area to join the Surgery Department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley
WILKES-BARRE—Anthony Dominic Bruno II, MD, recently joined the Surgery Department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Bruno specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery including cosmetic surgery, body contouring, maxillofacial trauma, cancer and trauma reconstruction, breast reconstruction and microsurgery.
Locally, Dr. Bruno graduated from Wyoming Area High School and the University of Scranton. Certified by the American Board of Surgery, he received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Bruno completed six years of training in general surgery at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., and Creighton University Medical Center. Dr. Bruno then completed three additional years of training in plastic, reconstructive and maxillofacial surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Bruno also holds certifications in advanced trauma life support, advanced cardiac life support and basic cardiac life support. He is an associate fellow in the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association.
