Tatiana Figueredo, MD, joins Geisinger Wyoming Valley as director of GI/Nutrition program Specializes in obesity medicine and nutritional support
WILKES-BARRE — Tatiana Figueredo, MD, recently joined the gastroenterology and nutrition program at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. Dr. Figueredo specializes in obesity medicine, which includes nutrition and weight management. She also works closely with patients who are preparing to have weight-loss surgery.
During her fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, Dr. Figueredo developed her specialty in bariatrics and nutrition support by working with Christopher Still, DO, director of both the Geisinger Obesity Institute and the Center for Nutrition and Weight Management.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Figueredo earned her medical degree from the Universidad El Bosque-Escuela Colombiana de Medicina in Bogota, Colombia. She also completed her internal medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center.
Dr. Figueredo also serves as the president of Organization of Health to Help Single Mothers, based in Colombia.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Dr. Figueredo currently resides in Dallas.
