Steve H. Kim, MD, surgical oncologist joins Surgery Team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley

WILKES-BARRE— Surgical oncologist, Steve H. Kim, MD, FACS, has joined the surgery team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. His office is located in the Department of Surgery at the Valley Medical Building, adjacent to Geisinger Wyoming Valley, at 1000 East Mountain Boulevard, Plains Township.

A graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Kim holds a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. He received his Medical Degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, New York. Following a surgical internship and residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Kim completed a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York. 

Dr. Kim is board certified in surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. He has written numerous articles, book chapters and books and has participated in several research studies.  Dr. Kim joins Geisinger Wyoming Valley from New Jersey Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
