
Scott Sauerwine, MD, joins Geisinger Wyoming Valley as a fellowship trained radiologist
WILKES-BARRE – Scott A. Sauerwine, MD, joins Geisinger Wyoming Valley as a radiologist specializing in body imaging to detect conditions in the chest, abdomen and pelvis. He joins a team of twelve physicians in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley radiology department.
Prior to joining Geisinger, Dr. Sauerwine served as a partner with Premier Radiology Associates in Kingston. Board certified in radiology, he earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Sauerwine completed internal medicine and diagnostic radiology residencies at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Sauerwine completed two fellowship programs in his field, including a musculoskeletal, body, and neurological MRI program from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and a fellowship in gastrointestinal, CT, US and MRI from Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
A native of northeastern Pennsylvania, Dr. Sauerwine currently resides in Kingston.
