
Marshall Eidenberg, DO, FACEP, FAAEM brings military field trauma experience to the Emergency Department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley
WILKES-BARRE—Marshall E. Eidenberg, DO, FACEP, FAAEM, joins the Emergency Department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley as an emergency medicine associate. Dr. Eidenberg specializes in disaster, trauma and sports medicine.
Prior to joining Geisinger, Dr. Eidenberg served as the Regimental Surgeon for the 3d Armored Calvary Regiment in Fort Hood, Texas. While stationed in Iraq, he was chief of emergency services for the 30th Brigade Combat Team (ESB). His military career also included roles as chief of initial entry training and chief of medical field craft at the Department of Combat Medic Training in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Board certified in emergency medicine and a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Dr. Eidenberg earned his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his emergency medicine residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium and an internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado.
Dr. Eidenberg is a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the Association of Military Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. He also holds several medical certifications at the instructor level, including advance trauma life support, advance pediatric life support and advanced cardiac life support. He has earned distinctions as a physician for the National Registry of Medical Technicians and for the medical care of the Chemical and Biological Casualties Course. Dr. Eidenberg also served as the military representative for an EMS Scope of Practice meeting held by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration.
