Juanita Kcomt, MD, endocrinologist, joins Geisinger Wyoming Valley

WILKES-BARRE — Juanita Kcomt, MD, joins Geisinger Wyoming Valley as an associate in the endocrinology department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. She specializes in malignant hypertension and complicated diabetes cases with additional interest in calcium and phosphorus metabolism disorders and parathyroid hormone disorders. Dr. Kcomt joins Ronald Harris, MD, Brian Jameson, DO, and Prashant Nadkarni, MD.

Fellowship trained in both endocrinology and nephrology, Dr. Kcomt completed her endocrinology fellowship at Tulane University Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, and her nephrology fellowship at both Tulane University Hospital and the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Kcomt earned her medical degree at Universidad Nacional Federico Villareal in Lima, Peru, and completed her internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Kcomt will also practice nephrology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Dr. Kcomt is fluent in Spanish and resides in Kingston.
