Joseph Arcuri, Jr., M.D., joins hospitalist program at GWV

May 17, 2009, WILKES-BARRE – Joseph Arcuri, Jr., M.D., joins Geisinger Wyoming Valley as an associate in the hospitalist program, where he will provide inpatient care for patients of all ages. He joins Kenric Maynor, M.D., director, hospitalist program, Edwin Annan, M.D., Robert Behm, M.D., Juan Escobar , M.D., Gowri Veeraraghavan, M.D., Robert Yanoshak, D.O., and Tricia Zoba, D.O.

Prior to joining Geisinger, Dr. Arcuri worked as a hospitalist and assistant professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical Center – Fairview in Minneapolis, Minn. While there, he was named Faculty Teacher of the Year twice.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Arcuri earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School in Philadelphia. He also completed an internal medicine internship and residency there.

Dr. Arcuri is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, Society of General and Internal Medicine, and Society of Hospital Medicine.

Dr. Arcuri currently resides in Clarks Summit.
