John Rominger, MD, gastroenterologist, joins Geisinger Wyoming Valley

WILKES-BARRE — John M. Rominger, MD, joins Radhakrishna Kalakuntla, MD, Paul Niezgoda, MD, Kevin Parent, MD, David Schaefer, MD, and Christopher Still, DO, as an associate in the gastroenterology department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley.


Dr. Rominger is fellowship trained in gastroenterology and specializes in inflammatory bowel disease and therapeutic colonoscopies. He previously worked Arnot Ogden Medical Center and Saint Joseph’s Hospital, both in Elmira, New York.


Board certified in internal medicine with a gastroenterology sub-specialty, Dr. Rominger earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in internal medicine at The Genesee Hospital in Rochester, New York, where he also served as chief resident. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Rochester and The Genesee Hospital.


Dr. Rominger is a member of the American Gastroenterlogical Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He resides in Wilkes-Barre.
