James Sweetland, MD, joins Geisinger Medical Group

BELLEFONTE- James Sweetland, MD, board certified in family medicine, has joined Geisinger Medical Group in Bellefonte.

A State College native, Dr. Sweetland earned his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University Medical School at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.  He completed a residency in family medicine at U.C. Davis Affiliated Hospital—Merced Community Medical Center, Merced, CA.  Dr. Sweetland is a diplomate of the American Academy of Family Practice.

Prior to joining Geisinger, Dr. Sweetland provided direct patient care at his group practice in Atwater, CA, where he was selected for a “Top Family Physician” listing from the Consumer’s Research Council.  He joins P. Brian Burke, MD, Brett Oesterling, MD, Mark Rozick, MD, and Melissa Beegle-Owens, PA-C, in the family medicine department at Geisinger Medical Group—Bellefonte, 819 E. Bishop Street, Bellefonte.
