Iryna Chepurnaya, MD joins Geisinger's Division of Psychiatry

DANVILLE — Iryna Chepurnaya, MD, recently joined the Division of Psychiatry at Geisinger Medical Center. Dr. Chepurnaya specializes in geriatric psychiatry.

In addition to her work at Geisinger, Dr. Chepurnaya has presented at international conferences and received the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award in Continuing Education.

Dr. Chepurnaya received her medical degree, in 1987, from the O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University in Kiev Ukraine and completed her residency at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Chepurnaya completed her fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, in 2003.
