Geisinger to host inspirational presentation for team of bicyclists with type I diabetes

WILKES-BARRE – Bob Schrank will be on hand at the Valley Medical Building at Geisinger Wyoming Valley on Thursday, April 3 at noon to speak about Team Type 1 and Race Across America.

Team Type 1 is a group of cyclists riding their bikes across the country to raise awareness about type 1 diabetes. The team, made up of eight cyclists with type I diabetes, will compete in a grueling 3,052-mile Race Across America.

“We are just a group of motivated athletes who aim to inspire all people to exercise daily, eat a balanced diet and take care of their health,” says Schrank. “We came up with the idea for the Race Across America to help raise awareness about type 1 diabetes around the country.”
