
Geisinger surgeon John Parenti, MD, provides pediatric orthopedic services to local clinic
WILKES-BARRE — John M. Parenti, MD, FAAOS, director of the department of orthopedics at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) has recently begun providing pediatric orthopedic outreach services at Wyoming Valley Children’s Association (WVCA) in Wilkes-Barre. At the WVCA’s Orthopedic Clinic, Dr. Parenti will utilize his special interest in pediatric orthopedics and see patients who exhibit orthopedic abnormalities such as postural disorders, bone/joint conditions or abnormalities typical of children with developmental disabilities.

Dr. Parenti earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed residencies at both Geisinger Medical Center and the Alfred I. Dupont Institute in Wilmington, Delaware.
Wyoming Valley Children’s Association is a non-profit agency that offers therapeutic programs and services to local children who have physical and neurological disabilities. The Orthopedic Clinic is held six times a year at the treatment center on 71 North Franklin Street in Wilkes-Barre and provides evaluations, recommendations and follow-up services for children and adolescents up to 21 years of age. Fees are based on the family's ability to pay.
