July 21, 2009, LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. — Geisinger Health System is launching a new clinical diagnostic laboratory - Proven Diagnostics - designed to provide medical professionals throughout Pennsylvania access to a wide variety of clinical laboratory services. The new facility is located in Bethlehem, Pa.
“Geisinger is embarking on this venture to ensure that physicians, hospitals and their patients have access to the highest quality laboratory testing and support services,” said Geisinger Health System Executive Vice President/Clinical Operations and Chief Innovation Officer Ronald Paulus, M.D. “Our focus is on enhancing the physician and patient experience by providing easy-to-understand visual graphics, clear billing processes, specimen tracking and accountability from the time of pickup until results are reported.”
“More than 70 percent of healthcare decisions are based on the results of laboratory tests,” said Candice Miller, CEO, Proven Diagnostics. “Our Web-based connectivity solutions are designed to support physicians and their staff, and we make it easy and efficient to interact with us. But we haven’t forgotten that sometimes you need to speak with someone, and we’re here for that, too.”
