
Geisinger expert to discuss bladder control during live Internet chat
DANVILLE – Geisinger urogynecologist Mitesh Parekh, MD will answer questions about bladder control problems during a live chat from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at Geisinger’s Web site.
Nearly 200 million people worldwide experience urinary incontinence, including an estimated 25 million American adults, according to the National Association for Incontinence. The problem can be related to stress, change in a person’s diet, infection or a response to medications.
Dr. Parekh will take questions from people about bladder control and treatment during the live chat. He is a board-certified physician with expertise in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, urogynecology and women’s health.
