Geisinger Wyoming Valley offers free blood pressure and cholesterol screenings

WILKES-BARRE - In recognition of National Heart Month and National Cardiac Rehabilitation Week, The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital at Geisinger Wyoming Valley will sponsor a week of free heart health screenings February 12-16, 2007. 

The Pearsall Heart Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Department will offer free blood pressure screenings daily, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 1 pm.  A free cholesterol screening will be held Thursday, February 15 from 8 am to noon. 

Both screenings will be held in the main lobby of Geisinger Wyoming Valley by registered nurses who will also be available to answer questions or concerns about heart disease.
