Geisinger-Lewistown Mammography Receives Recertification

LEWISTOWN—The Radiology Department at Geisinger—Lewistown recently received a three-year certification from the American College of Radiology for mammography studies.

The American College of Radiology (ACR), founded in 1923, is a professional medical organization dedicated to providing quality patient care through accrediting radiology facilities nationwide to ensure that quality and safety standards are upheld.

Geisinger—Lewistown has provided mammography services since 1989, and is staffed with three qualified mammography technologists, Holly Fultz, Connie Smith and Jamie Barr, with technical support from the Radiology Department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.
