Frederick Toy, MD, FACS, FCCM, brings trauma surgery expertise to Geisinger Wyoming Valley

WILKES-BARRE — Frederick K. Toy, MD, FACS, FCCM, comes to Geisinger Wyoming Valley as an associate of trauma surgery. He joins Matthew Indeck, MD, and Brian E. Klock, MD, FACS, in the surgery department. Dr. Toy specializes in trauma and surgical critical care.

Previously, Dr. Toy served as a trauma surgeon at Community Medical Center’s level II accredited regional trauma center in Scranton. He has worked at several other hospitals in Northeastern Pennsylvania, including Wayne Memorial Hospital where he acted as Vice President of Medical Staff.

Dr. Toy earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed a general surgery internship and residency at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.

Board certified in surgical critical care as well as general surgery, Dr. Toy is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Critical Care and American College of Physician Executives.

A native of Honesdale, Dr. Toy currently resides in Hawley.
