Christopher Still, DO elected to national nutrition board

Christopher D. Still, DO, FACN, FACP, Medical Director of Geisinger’s Center for Nutrition and Weight Management, was elected to the American Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists’ Board of Directors for a three-year term.

The 10-member board develops and implements curriculum and national certification for physicians with post-graduate training in clinical nutrition. Because of his national recognition in the field of obesity, Dr. Still will focus on the implementation of a national certifying exam for physicians in the field of obesity and metabolic support.
 
Dr. Still is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Obesity Action Coalition’s Surgical Review Committee, which is responsible for designating Centers of Excellence for bariatric surgery around the country. He chairs the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery’s Bariatric Medicine Committee.
