Chatla Reddy, MD, joins the Cardiology Department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley

WILKES-BARRE- Chatla V. R. Reddy, MD, has joined the Cardiology Department at The Pearsall Heart Hospital at Geisinger Wyoming Valley as Director of the Cardiac Catherization Laboratory. He specializes in invasive cardiovascular procedures including: cardiac catherizations, coronary and peripheral angioplasty. He joins twelve cardiology and vascular specialists and heart surgeons.  

Prior to joining Geisinger, Dr. Reddy held the position of Chief of Cardiology and Cardiac Catherization Lab and Chief of Clinical Cardiac Services at The New York Methodist Hospital, which is affiliated with Cornell Medical Center, New York. Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and vascular medicine, Dr. Reddy brings extensive experience in interventional cardiology from private practice in New York City.

Dr. Reddy graduated from Hindu College and received his medical degree from Guntur Medical College both in Guntur, India. Following his university training, Dr. Reddy completed internships at King George Hospital, India and St. Luke’s Hospital and Children’s Medical Center, Philadelphia. Dr. Reddy completed his medical residency, held the position of Chief Resident and completed a cardiology fellowship at Misericordia Hospital Medical Center, New York, New York.

Dr. Reddy is a fellow of American College of Physicians, American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians, and American Society of Angiology. He has been named to “Best Doctors in New York,” by New Yorker Magazine in 2001-2004 and “Top Doctors in USA” from Castle and Connolly Guide.
